- Size: Medium
- Speed: 25 feet walking
- Consuming Beast: The Beastral races passively feed off of divine magic and its power can surge into them. When affected by a healing spell, you have advantage on your next d20 roll as the divine magic surges through you.
- Amphibious Creature: You may breathe normally in air and water.
- Sub-lineage
- Poison Dart Grung
- Poison Resilience: You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the poisoned condition on yourself. You also have resistance to poison damage.
- Poisonous Secretion: Your body secrets a toxic slime. If a creature is in contact with your skin, they may make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failure, they take poison damage equal to your proficiency bonus number of d4s. If that creature ends their turn touching you, they make the saving throw again. A creature can only take damage from this feature once per turn. A grappled creature, an unarmed strike, a push or shove, and a touch range spell are considered contact.
- Toxic Affection: As an action, you may jump up to 25ft. After landing, you may make a grapple check against one creature adjacent to the square you have landed in. You have advantage on this check, using your momentum to stick to your target.
- Tree Grung
- Frog Hop: Your long jump is 25ft and your high jump is 15ft, with or without a running start. You may now jump while grappling a creature without incurring a movement penalty. In addition, you may cast the Jump spell without expending a spell slot once per rest.
- Vicious Tongue: When you take the Attack action on yoru turn, you can replace one of your attacks with a tongue lash or a toxic squeeze. These attacks’ damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 5th, 11th, and 17th level. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
- Tongue Lash: You may only use this attack if you are not grappling an enemy. The lash attack can be made with your Dexterity or Strength modifier (your choice), and on a successful attack, the target takes 2d10 slashing damage and is grappled (escape DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus).
- Toxic Squeeze: You may only use this attack if you are grappling an enemy. The grappled creature must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, the creature takes 2d10 poison damage and is poisoned until they break the grapple.

Changelog:
| Action | Reason |
|---|---|
| Updated Poisonous Secretion to just be the contact effect, removing the “and are poisoned for one minute. They may repeat this save at the end of each of their turns. You may also use an Action to coat a weapon of your choosing in this slime, lasting for 1 minute and causing the same saving throw and effect. “ | Poisoning weapons is hell to keep track of, duration too strong probably |
| Updated Frog Hop to not grant free bonus action jump and instead gives one cast per short rest. | 100% too strong |
| Added “Toxic Affection” | Gives a unique way to use Poisonous Secretion and ties in the jumping. |
| Replaced Tongue Slam: “The grappled creature must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, the creature takes 2d10 bludgeoning damage and has disadvantage on their next attempt to break the grapple.” with Toxic Squeeze | Needed some poison theming, and I think poison condition makes the grapple feel more impactful. |
| Added “You may now jump while grappling a creature without incurring a movement penalty.” | I want them to run through the trees carrying fools. Might be too strong but its fun |
| Added simplified Grung with no sublineages or complicated DCs or features. | I think I agree with Hazel that it’s too complicated, and I really don’t think they need sublineages tbh. The one thing I’m unsure on is that I liked the poison skin idea, but might be too much and/or better off as a lineage feat. |
